KENT, Conn.—The Kent Memorial Library invites all ages to come to draw, color and design holiday cards on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. while listening to a live narration of “The Christmas Mink.”

Eight-year Kent resident John Walker, who has narrated more than 60 books for Audible in all genres, will read the story.
The story is a charming tale by John Richard Thomas about a young boy who is worried about finding a gift for his generous mother. He receives a miraculous gift courtesy of a talking mink that appears only at Christmas in the north woods of New Hampshire.
It is a tale about instilling the magic of Christmas, introduced by a hopeless cynic and told by a true believer of an indeterminate age.
Thomas is an award-winning author, playwright and theater director.
He is also co-author of four nonfiction books on learning disabilities with Anne Ford, great-granddaughter of Henry Ford. Together they have traveled the country to bring their message of advocacy to corporations, parent organizations, and schools.
The program is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.
