The 2026 season features 21 performances offering a variety of music, theater, and storytelling events performed by both local, regional and nationally-based artists.

Opening night on May 9 begins with a 6 p.m. cocktail reception followed by a concert featuring Walter Parks & The Unlawful Assembly. Parks, longtime sideman to Woodstock legend Richie Havens, specializes in “spirituals, hymns, hollers and works songs … to express a yearning for a better life or gratitude for already having one.”

On May 16, the popular ”Merryall Tales – Personal Storytelling” returns, featuring seven Northeast-based Moth Grand Slam/Story Slam winners seen on PBS’ Stories from the Stage. The month wraps up on May 30 with an old-fashioned Community Potluck Picnic and presentation by New Milford historian, Theodore W. Hine, about Merryall’s storied history.

Season highlights also include Pride month, kicking off June 6 with trailblazing artist Flamy Grant, who reached number one with her debut album, “Bible Belt Baby.” Pride month concludes on June 27 with the one-person play, “The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey,” written and performed by Celeste Lecesne, co-founder of the Trevor Project.

In July, the nationally renowned Pilobolus dance troupe takes the stage with “Pilobolust.” Further season announcements, information and tickets for the entire 75th anniversary season can be found at Merryallcenter.org.

Major funding for the season was provided by the Ellen Knowles Harcourt Foundation. “Thanks to this foundation’s incredible support, we’re able to continue our mission of presenting programming that enriches our community,” said Missy Alexander, president of the Merryall board.

Merryall Center is located at 8 Chapel Hill Road, New Milford.
