KENT, Conn.—“RiverVisions,” the Housatonic Valley Authority’s 85th birthday bash and fundraiser, will take place Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Inn at Mount Pleasant in Torrington.
The celebration features custom fashion displays, curated dining options, entertainment and highlights from 85 years of environmental conservation and watershed protection across Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.
Save $50 on every ticket purchased after the first two now through Wednesday, Sept. 9.
In addition to “RiverVisions,” HVA has an opportunity to unlock $800,000 in matching funds.
Right now, donors can boost the impact of their generosity and improve HVA’s programs. A supporter has challenged the HVA to substantially increase its annual fund contributions for river restoration, forest conservation and education programs.
For those who donate to HVA every year, any increase above their usual gifts will be matched 1:1, up to $10,000; every gift from a new donor will be matched 1:1, up to $10,000, and for donations of $1,941 (the HVA’s founding year), the entire gift will be doubled, and the donor will become a member of our Founder’s Club.
For information about donations, call 860-672-6678 or email info@hvatoday.org.
