FALLS VILLAGE—Housatonic Valley Regional High School was well represented at the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Class S cross country meet in Manchester Saturday, Oct. 26.
Individual and team titles were determined over the 3.1-mile course in five classes (L, MM, M, SS and S). The top runners and teams will return to Wickham Park Thursday, Oct. 31, for the State Open.
Lyme-Old Lyme junior Chase Gilbert was dominant in the girl’s division, claiming a state championship three-peat.
After finishing third overall last year, Bolton senior Shepard Livingston returned to claim the Class S individual title in 16:26.
The Mountaineers had seven boys and six girls attend.
HVRHS seniors Kyle McCarron, placed fourth for the boys with a time of 18.58, and Gabi Titone, who place 11th for the girls with 21:27, both earned all-state status and qualified for the State Open Meet.
