KENT, Conn.—The Emery Park Summit Hiking Club has expanded its schedule, with hikes now planned on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The Tuesday group, led by Parks and Recreation Director Matt Busse, meets in the Emery Park parking lot at 6:15 p.m. with the group hike beginning at 6:30 p.m. On Sundays, the group, led by program assistant Sam Lug, meets in the parking lot at 11 a.m. and the hike begins at 11:15.
They will lead group hikes up to the summit and lookout of Leonard Mountain. Hikes will be canceled for bad weather and poor air quality and there will be no hike on Aug. 5. This program is for all ages. All hiking abilities are welcome.
