KENT, Conn.—A lively crowd was drawn to the twice-annual Arts & Design Show held in the Community House this past weekend.

The brainchild of woodworker Elizabeth Place, ceramicist Alison Palmer, musician Steve Katz, and Ellen Corsell, a ceramicist and supporter of handmade art, the show taps the talents of 20 regional artists each time, varying those selected.
This exhibition brought together a curated group of local artists and designers, displaying works that range from ceramics and fine art to woodworking, textiles and jewelry. Before the exhibition, Place, owner of Berkshire Tables, said the goal is to “elevate the quality of the show each time.”

Successful applicants are chosen from artists and craftsmen within a 60-mile radius.
The next show will be staged in late fall.
