KENT—An Evening with Cheryl Gould will held In the Reading Room of the Kent Memorial Library, hosted by the Kent Good Times Dispatch Tuesday, June 25, at 6:30 p.m.

Gould is an American journalist who worked at NBC News for almost four decades. She was the first female executive producer of a nightly newscast of the three broadcast networks, and is known as a pioneer, role model and mentor for women in the industry. 

She has been an important voice in efforts to make newsrooms more diverse and remains active in the industry. She will talk about how she started in local journalism and her rise to become the first nightly news producer. She will discuss her current work and changes in news and journalism, ending with the importance of local news and a Q&A.
