KENT, Conn.—The Kent Historical Society will hold its 23rd annual Christmas Party Saturday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Community House, 93 North Main St.

The event, the society’s thank you to the community, is free although donations are welcome. 

Attendees may choose to bring an appetizer, dessert or festive dish to share if they desire. There will be a special museum shop and a gift basket raffle. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five.

On Friday, Dec. 19, at 4:30 p.m., the historical society invites residents to its headquarters at Seven Hearths, 4 Studio Hill Road, to Make & Mingle, an event featuring cheese and wine, and holiday craft-making for gift giving.

Participants will learn about the art of Victorian decoupage and decorate their own holiday candle with decorative papers and collage. 

Registration is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
