NEW MILFORD, Conn.—Come experience the rich history and intimate power of folk and American music on Friday, July 25, and Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Merryall Center.
Both concerts offer musical journeys—one of nostalgia and one of heartfelt Americana songcraft—all within Merryall Center.
Step back to the golden era of the late ’60s and early ’70s Friday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m. as Merryall Center conjures the spirit of Laurel Canyon—home to legends like Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and more.
Featuring local talent including Rob Brereton, Noelle Chave, Emily DeMasi, Missy Alexander, Bill Petkanas, George Mallas and Susanna Marker, this collaborative concert blends vocals with acoustic authenticity.
Admission is $25.
The following week, on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 7:30 p.m., Rough and Tumble, an folk/Americana duo composed of Mallory Graham and Scott Tyler, bring their road-tested sound to Merryall. Touring for more than a decade—often out of a 16-foot camper—the duo earned critical acclaim and awards, including Club Passim’s Iguana Music Fund, showcases at Folk Alliance International and the Independent Music Awards’ Americana Song of the Year.
Admission is $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
