KENT, Conn.—The Kent Lions Club will hold a blood drive Monday, Oct. 20, at the Kent Community House from 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

The drive will be offered at the community house located at 93 North Main St.

To be eligible to donate blood, donors must weigh at least 110 pounds. Those 18 years of age or younger must meet additional height and weight requirements for whole blood donations.
Donors should wait at least eight weeks between whole blood donations and seven days between platelet donations.
In most cases, taking medications does not disqualify donors, but eligibility is based on the reason the medication was prescribed. If the condition is under control and the donor is healthy, donation is usually permitted.
