KENT, Conn.—This September, Kent’s community will celebrate the 20 year anniversary of Sarah Marshall’s presence at the Kent Memorial Library.
She began in 2006 as the co-director of Children’s Services and has been at the helm of the organization as the library director since 2018. Marshall and her husband, Glen Sanchez, have lived in Kent village since 1995, after spending more than 25 years on the campus of the Marvelwood School where they met as teachers, married, and raised their two grown children.
To honor the occasion, Kent Memorial Library will host a celebration on Marshall’s behalf on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. that is free and open to the public. Additionally, the week of Sept. 21-25 will be “gratitude week” when she will share thank you gifts with all patrons and visitors.
“Has it really been this long?! Please stop by the library during our regular hours for special gifts for children and adults,” she said. “It has been my privilege to serve the community of Kent and to see all of these families grow and prosper.”
