KENT, Conn.—Kent will be part of the second annual “Leaf Peeping Road Trip” on Route 7 sponsored by Live Green Connecticut and Drive Electric Connecticut.
Kent will be the second stop on the road trip.

Members of the Kent Sustainability Team will meet with Daphne Dixon, president of Live Green Connecticut, in the parking area next to 9 Maple St., and there will be a Q&A about electric vehicles.
“We are excited that Live Green Connecticut selected Kent as one of the stops, and we hope EV owners come out to talk about their experiences driving an EV in our area towns,” said Lynn Mellis Worthington, a selectman and chair of the Kent Sustainability Team.
Electric Vehicle (EV) owners are encouraged to meet the tour at 1:15 p.m. at the Kent Barns, which hosts one of the EV chargers in Kent. The tour stop is expected to last 45 minutes.
Live Green Connecticut and the Clean Transportation Coalition for Western Connecticut celebrate the nomination of Route 7’s designation as an EV Corridor, which means that the road is eligible for more funding, more visibility, more reliability and more economic opportunity, all while accelerating the transition to clean transportation.
The road trip starts in Norwalk and makes its way north to Canaan, stopping in Kent and ending in Brookfield. The rain date is Saturday, Oct. 18.
