KENT—The Kent Art Association’s 32nd annual Student Show prizes were awarded Feb. 10 at a special reception and ceremony. This year’s show highlighted works from seven area high schools. 

The Kent Art Association held its Student Show awards ceremony last weekend. The Constance Horton Award of Excellence for Best in Show went to Gage Heebner of Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

The Best of School Awards of Excellence winners were Sarah Marchant, Millbrook High School; Finian Malone, Housatonic Valley Regional High School; Llewelyn Davis, Forman School; Sebastian Killin, Marvelwood School; Jake Pellicane and Tobin Connell, The Frederick Gunn School; Quisha Lee, Hotchkiss School, and Pheona Dadson, Kent School. 

Many art forms were represented including drawing, painting, photography, jewelry, ceramics and found object assemblages.

The show is open through Feb. 23, 1 -5 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. 

The KAA expressed special thanks to Carl Chaiet and Michael Spross, who on a yearly basis have organized the event.
