KENT, Conn.—The Kent Memorial Library will present “The 250th Anniversary of American Beer” on Thursday, July 23, at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.

Illustrator, author and knowledgeable guide to the subject, EM Sauter, will give an illustrated presentation discussing the role of beer and brewing in American history.
Starting with the Pilgrims landing on Plymouth Rock, through to the modern craft brewery movement, she will describe how beer has been woven into the fabric of American history. Beer samples will be provided.
