KENT, Conn.—The Kent Historical Society will hold a hybrid continuation of the book talk by local historian Peter Vermilyea’s 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, at the Kent Town Hall, 41 Kent Green Blvd.

Vermilyea is the author of the recently released “Litchfield County in the American Revolution.”
Vermilyea’s recent talk at the Kent Memorial Library could not cover every topic, and the historical society talk will delve deeper into the Townshend Act, the Stamp Act, the tea tax, and will devote time to a more detailed examination of what prompted the colonists, who found themselves victims of tyranny, to consider taking arms against their king.
The event is free. A Zoom link will be provided for those who wish, but snacks will be served those who in person.
