KENT, Conn.—A solo exhibition by artist Bonnie Kozek, “Life Squared,” opens with a reception at The Good Gallery Saturday, June 27, from 3 to 6 p.m.
The show explores the intersection of numbers, language and symbolism through an inventive use of diverse materials. Drawing on alphanumeric systems that assign numerical values to letters and words, Kozek transforms these esoteric concepts into visual works on paper and canvas.
Many of the pieces are structured around grids, each carrying its own symbolic significance, while others move beyond these frameworks, allowing recurring themes to unfold in more fluid ways.
As Kozek explains, “Life to the power of two—’Life Squared’—is simply life times itself.”
Rich with color, pattern, texture, and meaning, the exhibition invites viewers to engage on multiple levels. The show continues at the gallery through Aug. 9.
