KENT, Conn.—The Kent Volunteer Fire Department is offering residents an opportunity to learn critical EMR and EMT skills in town rather than traveling to a distant location.

The KVFD and the Brookfield EMS Training Center are partnering to bring the training sessions to the Kent Firehouse located at 28 Maple St. from June 23 to Sept. 19. Classes will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 to 10 p.m.
The cost is $800 for EMR and $1,100 for EMT. All supplies and textbooks are included in the cost of the course.
At the end of the course, students will be eligible to take the NREMT exam, which is required for State of Connecticut certification.
