SHARON—The Sharon Playhouse, will stage “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” as the final mainstage production in our “season of joy” Sept. 20-29. The musical brings Charles M. Schulz’s beloved characters to life, celebrating the simple joys and enduring charm of childhood.

Tickets are now on sale. 

Broadway favorite Julia Murney makes her Playhouse directorial debut with this production and it will be choreographed by Playhouse veteran Michelle Lemon. Eric Thomas Johnson is music director. The cast, in alphabetical order, features another Broadway veteran,  Courtney Balan (“The Prom” “National Tour,” “Finding Neverland”) as “Lucy”; Nicolas Alan Fernandez(“Jersey Boys,” “Next to Normal,” “Mamma Mia!”) as “Snoopy,” Sammy Pignalosa (“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”) as “Linus”; Daniel Plimpton (“Book of Mormon,” “White Christmas,” “Spring Awakening”) as “Charlie Brown”; Hayley Podschun (“Wicked,”), “Hello, Dolly!,” “Something Rotten!”) as “Sally,” and Jason Williams (“A Bronx Tale,” “Dreamgirls,” “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical”as “Schroeder.” 

Thomas Beebe (“The Great American Mousical”) understudies the roles of Charlie Brown, Linus, and Schroeder, and Molly Model (“Something Rotten”) serves as dance captain and understudies the roles of Sally, Lucy and Snoopy.

The 2024 season will conclude Oct. 4 and 5 with the fourth annual presentation of Writers Playgrounda ten-minute play festival of new works written by local playwrights.
