KENT, Conn. – Nearly 150 patrons paid a visit to Kent Center School Wednesday, Feb. 12, to celebrate and enjoy all things chocolate. The school’s popular Kent Chocolate Fest attracted residents of Kent and neighboring towns who were eager to sample the cookies, brownies and other tasty chocolate treats. Patrons filled a plate with their favorite goodies for $5, or paid for a prepackaged plate of baked goods. Proceeds will benefit the school’s scholarship fund. The event was first held in 1996. In addition, a handful of nonprofit organizations were on hand to offer family-friendly activities and information.
