KENT, Conn.—Following the resignation of its vice chairman, Kevin Frost, the Parks and Recreation Commission is seeking a new member to serve out the remainder of his term. Frost resigned this month because his family is relocating.

Frost’s term is slated to run until January 2027.
To serve on the commission, residents must be an elector of the town, be willing to attend regular meetings on the first Tuesday of each month, engage in discussions about parks, recreation programs, budgeting and long-term planning, and assist with park maintenance, program and event planning, setup, execution and breakdown.
Those interested are encouraged to send an introductory email explaining their interest in joining the commission, and any relevant experience to Parks and Recreation Director Matt Frasher by 5 p.m. on Aug. 2.
