SHERMAN, Conn.—Betty Medieros was the first prize winner in the Great Hollow Juried Art Show in May.
Her work, “Discover Together,” and the other art entered in the show can be viewed—and purchased—through June 30 at shermanartists.org.

Sponsored by the Great Hollow Photographers Club, this was the eighth annual fundraiser for Great Hollow Nature Preserve.
The winners for paintings are: Betty Ann Medeiros, first place for “Discover Together;” Andy Kimmel, second place for “Land;” Doreen O’Connor, third place for “Bright Garden Corner;” and for honorable mention, Bethe Bogues for “Bunny Hop,and Suzi Mitchell for “Serenity.”
The winners for photographs are: Susan Locke, first place for “Foraging Squirrel;” Don Turner, second place for “Swamp Sparrow;” Stephanie Wozniak, third place for “Quizzical Bee;” and, for honorable mention, Dave King for “Silhouette at Sunset,” John Clery for “Andor and Young Tuari” and Deborah Rose for “Perspective.”
All artworks are for sale and a portion of the sales support Great Hollow Nature Preserve’s mission of environmental education, research, and conservation.
