KENT, Conn. — The Kent Land Trust will hold a volunteer work day May 24 from 9 to 11 a.m.

Stewardship Manager Angus Gracey will lead the event to restore the East Kent Hamlet Nature Preserve.

The project is funded through a Climate Smart Farming Agriculture and Forestry grant from Connecticut Land Conservation Council to restore early successional habitat.

Volunteers, who are encouraged to wear long pants and long sleeves, should bring spades, buckets, pruners, gloves, and a garden knife, if available.

Extra equipment will be available.

Cleanup is geared toward those ages 10 and older.
