KENT, Conn. — Resident State Trooper Vicki Donohoe has issued a warning to residents that the Grinch is alive and well and trying to scam residents.
Package delivery scams are rampant and that residents should be alert to the following:
- Recipients are told their package was delivered and a photo of someone else’s house is included.
- A text or email that says there is a problem with a delivery.
- The recipient is asked to click on a link or call a phone number.
- There is a sense of urgency.
- Residents should not respond to fake missed delivery tags on their door.
