KENT, Conn.—Two special services open to the entire community will be held at the First Congregational Church during the holiday season.

A Thanksgiving service will be held at the First Congregational Church Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m.

A Blue Christmas service for those grieving lost ones has been moved to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, also at the First Congregational Church.

Marthe Ryerson will be the soloist, and Jon Lafleur will be the organist. Mathre will sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” Nadia Boulanger’s “Cantique lux aeterna” and the uplifting “Hear ye, Israel” from Mendelssohn’s Elijah.
