KENT, Conn.—South Kent School is opening its doors to families, alumni and neighbors for its annual Community Day on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Located on 40 Bulls Bridge Road, the hillside campus invites local K-8 students and their families to explore what makes the school more than just a place of learning.
Designed as an interactive event, Community Day features a variety of 15-minute stations and clinics led by South Kent’s faculty and students. Guests will have the opportunity to try their hand at science in the school’s STEM building, shoot hoops in the Brown Gymnasium, experiment with digital arts using a green screen, and more.
Sports fans learn more about hockey at Admiral Stockdale Arena or play soccer on Farr Field. For those curious about media, there will even be a behind-the-scenes look at a live SKS-broadcast.
Parents are especially encouraged to participate. Coffee will be served in the admissions office, and there will be a chance to tour the campus, meet faculty and current students, and gather information about upcoming events and sports schedules.
Though the event is free, space is limited to 50 families, so the school urges early registration.
This is the first of two Community Days this academic year. The second will be held in the spring, on Sunday, April 19, also from 9 a.m. to noon.
South Kent School Community Days are part of its ongoing effort to engage with the broader Kent community—from athletic events, holiday celebrations, service initiatives to collaborations with parents, alumni, and local organizations.
