SHARON, Conn.— Sharon Playhouse has announced two spring programs for young people.

A seven-week class, Sharon Playhouse Stars, is open to ages 6-8, will run Saturdays, March 29 through May 10, 12:30 to 2 p.m. Kids will sing, dance and learn from their favorite musicals. 

Co-taught by director/choreographer Tricia DeSario and music director Beckie Scattergood, the course will build to a concluding showcase at The Bok for family and friends.

A second series of classes, Kids’ Caberet!, is a seven-week musical workshop for kids ages 9-14. Students will develop their acting, singing and dancing skills through high-energy sessions led by teaching artist Erin Krom and music director Beckie Scattergood.

The program works to build confidence, teamwork, and stage presence, ending with a showcase for family and friends. 

Classes will be held Saturdays, March 29 through May 10, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Cost for the series is $250.
