TORRINGTON, Conn.—The Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation (NCCF) announces that this year’s scholarship application process is now open, with more than $530,000 available for the 2026-27 academic year. 

Funded entirely through the generosity of local donors and fundholders, these scholarships reflect the community’s ongoing commitment to supporting educational opportunity and student success throughout the Northwest Corner.

Students can view a full list of available scholarships, eligibility guidelines, and application materials at yournccf.org/scholarships. The application deadline is April 1.

NCCF manages more than 65 scholarship funds supporting a wide range of educational pathways, including higher education, vocational training, and specialized fields of study.

The majority of scholarships are awarded to students living within the foundation’s 20-town service area, which includes Barkhamsted, Bethlehem, Canaan/Falls Village, Colebrook, Cornwall, Goshen, Hartland, Harwinton, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, New Hartford, Norfolk, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon, Torrington, Warren, Washington, and Winsted/Winchester.
