SHARON, Conn.—Santa will make an early appearance this year, coming to the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon Saturday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 4:15 p.m.

Families are invited to join in afternoon of holiday fun, including creating a festive holiday craft, mailing letters to the North Pole, and voting for their favorite cookies in the Holiday Cookie Contest.
Bakers of all ages are encouraged to enter the contest. Homemade cookies (at least 24 in a non-returnable container) can be dropped off at the library between noon and 2 p.m., along with your contact information, age (if under 18), a list of allergens, and a note if the cookies are gluten-free. Prizes will be awarded for favorite grown-up cookie, favorite kid-baked cookie and prettiest cookie.
This event is free and open to all ages. Treats will be served. Attendees are also encouraged to stick around for the town’s annual tree lighting on the Green at 4:30 p.m.
