KENT, Conn.—The Kent Santa Fund is seeking donations to make Christmas a little brighter for some of the town’s children.
The fund, which operates anonymously and assists local children under the age of 16 during the holiday season, will provide gift cards to the families, allowing them to prioritize their family’s needs during the holidays. In addition to the gift cards, the fund will hold its sixth “Santa’s Workshop.” During the workshop, participating parents can shop for their children and participating local children can pick up gifts for their siblings and/or best friends.
In the past, the community has always been generous. Organizers hope that townspeople will continue this tradition by making a monetary donation to the Kent Santa Fund or dropping off a gift for a child between the ages of 1 and 16. Donations will help members of our community who live with the harsh reality of financial insecurity every single day.
