KENT, Conn.—There is still time to register for the Sunday, Sept. 28, SafeSitter Certified Baby Sitter Training course offered by Kent Memorial Library, 32 Main St. The course is open to young people in grades 6 and up.
The course covers safety skills, childcare skills, first aid and rescue skills as well as life and business skills. The library is the only site in Northwest Connecticut to offer the SafeSitter training.
It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and participants should bring their own lunch. There is a $30 fee for the training manual.
