CORNWALL, Conn.—The 68th annual Rose Algrant Art Show, one of Cornwall’s most cherished summer traditions, returns to the Cornwall Consolidated School, this summer.
Presented by the Friends of Rose Algrant, the event which celebrates the creativity of local artists while continuing a decades-long tradition of supporting the Cornwall community will be held Friday, Aug. 7, through Sunday, Aug. 9.
This year’s exhibition will feature original artwork by more than 50 Cornwall artists (https://www.rosealgrantartshow.org/growing-list-of-artists/) working in a wide variety of mediums, including painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, furniture, illustration, jewelry, wood carving, mixed media, prints and more.
The hours at the school, located at 5 Cream Hill Road, West Cornwall, are Friday, Aug. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The show also continues its commitment to giving back. Fifteen percent of show proceeds will benefit the Cornwall Food & Fuel Fund and the Cornwall Housing Corporation, helping provide essential support. The remaining revenue from artwork sales go directly to the participating artists.
Admission is free and open to the public. Art pickup will be Sunday, Aug. 9, from noon to 1 p.m.
