FALLS VILLAGE, Conn.—The David M. Hunt Library will host “Revolutionary Roundtable: a reading and discussion group focused on our emerging nation from 1740-1791” beginning on Saturday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m.

Avid amateur historian and Falls Village resident Richard Berzine will lead the sessions, which will be held monthly from July through December. Attendees will explore various topics and writings together.
Participants can join for individual sessions or all six. A copy of the readings will be available at the library in advance.
The July session will focus on “Our Declaration of Independence: Discussion of the Greatest Sentence Ever Written by Walter Isaacson” and will include excerpts from the Virginia Declaration of Rights and John Locke’s “Second Treatise of Government.” A copy of Isaacson’s book will be given to the first 20 participants.
Revolutionary Roundtable will meet Aug. 8, Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 14 and Dec. 12, all at 10:30 a.m. Information on readings and upcoming sessions can be found at huntlibrary.org.
