KENT, Conn.— By now, you should have received your invitation to “Let’s Have a Ball,” the Kent Volunteer Fire Department’s annual celebration. It will be held Saturday, June 13, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and followed by dinner at 7 p.m. at the KVFD Firehouse, 28 Maple Street.

Those who haven’t received an invitation should go online to www.kentfire.org/ball to reserve and pay for their seats.
The event will serve up mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres donated by local Kent eateries. Entrees will be served with accompaniments of Patriotic Grilled Baked Potatoes, a Minutemen Vegetable Medley, Covenantal Chickpea Pesto Salad and Freedom Dinner Rolls.
To top off dinner, dessert will includes Stars & Stripes Celebration Cup Cakes and Fife ‘n Drum Brownie Sundaes.
The event is BYOB, ice will be provided, and mixers can be purchased.
Admissions sales are $65 per person in advance or $75 per person at the door. Reservations are strongly encouraged with advanced payment. Visit www.kentfire.org/ball to pay online for individual seats or a table of 10, which you are encouraged to decorate.
