To the Editor:
I see no reason to cancel the parade because of rain unless a high wind and pouring rain is forecast.
We all have umbrellas and even the marching band can improvise some rain protection. I bet we have enough spirit and dedication to overcome a few rain drops, both marchers and spectators.
We Kent citizens are tough and dedicated. Here is hoping this will be considered next time we have a community event.
