WASHINGTON, Conn.—Kimberly Wilson will bring to life the stories of seven historical Black women from seven pivotal generations through song, movement and dialogue when she presents, “A Journey,” a one-woman show Sunday, April 12, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Montessori School.

The school is located at 240 Litchfield Turnpike in New Preston.
Wilson, an actress, singer and playwright, is known for this signature work, which dramatizes the stories of figures such as Harriet Tubman and Maya Angelou.
Originally from Minneapolis, Minn., she studied theater at the Minneapolis Children’s Theatre and later graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
She was a founding member of the Mixed Blood Theater in Minneapolis and has performed at the Penumbra Theater in St. Paul. She has also appeared in national television commercials, touring productions and theater.
