KENT, Conn.—The Kent Memorial Library will get youngsters in the mood for Halloween Saturday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. with a “Monster Cartooning” program with award-winning cartoonist Rick Stromoski.

Kids will learn to draw a variety of creatures, goblins, ghosts and all things Halloween-y in this interactive and popular program.

The program is recommended for school-aged children entering Grades K-8 but is open to all ages. Registration is appreciated by emailing the Junior Room for more information or to register.

A self-taught artist, Stromoski created the syndicated comic strips, “Mullets” and “Soup to Nutz.” “Soup to Nutz” was syndicated by the Newspaper Enterprise Association from 2000 to 2018 and “Mullets”  from 2003 to 2005. He is a former president of the National Cartoonist Society.
