NEW MILFORD, Conn.—The Merryall Center will welcome Laurie MacAllister of Red Molly fame, on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 7:30 p.m.
A co-founder of the celebrated trio, Red Molly, MacAllister is well-known on stages and festivals throughout the Northeast for her singing and talent for creating harmonies.

As part of Red Molly, MacAllister’s work can be heard on seven albums including “Love and Other Tragedies,” “The Red Album” and “One for All and All for One.”
As a solo artist, she has released three albums, “These Old Clothes,” “The Things I Choose to Do” (produced by Cliff Eberhardt), and “The Lies Poets Tell,” which is a tribute to the contemporary folk music scene.
When Barnes and Noble chose to release her second album, they wrote “MacAllister wholly inhabits these songs as subtly as a chameleon, convincingly taking on a persona’s skin, quite simply singing her heart out.”
It is this songcraft that inspired the Merryall Center to host an afternoon workshop called “The Authentic, Believable Singer” with Laurie MacAllister on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 1 to 3p.m. Registration fee is $25.
The workshop will be followed by a 7:30 p.m. concert where MacAllister will be joined by Alex Radus, winner of the Emerging Artist award at Falcon Ridge in 2024.
To purchase tickets at $30, and for more details, go to www.merryallcenter.org.
Merryall Center is located at 8 Chapel Hill Road, New Milford.
