WARREN, Conn. — The Warren Democratic Town Committee will participate in the National Hands Off! Day of Resistance Saturday, April 5, from 8:45 to 10:30 a.m.

The committee will gather on the lawn of the Warren Community Center at 7 Sackett Hill Road.

They will join other groups around the country “in peaceful protest” to stand up for liberty and justice, according to the committee’s press release.

“Today, across America, in small towns and big cities, we’re seeing an unprecedented assault on our rights, our freedom, and our constitution,” said Howard Pulchin-Ramos, Warren DTC chair.

“We’re experiencing fear and despair,” he said. “Action is an antidote to fear. And we can’t sit down or be silent. We all need to stand up, speak out, and send a clear message that we won’t tolerate this. We’ll be coming together to say ‘Hands Off!,’ while showing our community what and who we must fight for, not just on April 5, but every day.”
