KENT, Conn.—The Kent Memorial Library will showcase a new art show, “Hidden Talents,” from Saturday, May 3, through Saturday, June 28, featuring the artwork of KML staff.
Exhibiting will be Beth Carlson, Libby Mueller, Lucy Pierpont, and Kate Zarin.
Mueller, who is technical services and circulation supervisor, has worked in a variety of library settings—academic, museum, school and public—for more than four decades. She recently moved to Kent from Ridgefield. In addition to master’s degrees in library science and education, she has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Pierpont, a Woodbury resident, is a graphics designer who has worked for the library since 2010. Originally, the marketing and special events director, she now serves as the graphic designer for all adult promotional and graphic materials. She is a graduate of Hartwick College and has worked in the marketing/graphic design field throughout her career.
Carlson, circulation assistant, of Warren is a retired graphic artist who is now pursuing fine arts, painting landscapes in oil. She attended Paier College of Art in Hamden and studied graphic design at Northwestern Connecticut Community College in Winsted.
There will be a reception Saturday, May 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.
