KENT, Conn.—The staff of the recently relocated Kent Memorial Library invites all to come see the new off-site temporary location at 10-12 Landmark Lane on Kent Green this Saturday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Sweet treats plus coffee and hot chocolate from 45 on Main will be served.

Patrons should turn right in front of the Chinese restaurant, and the library is in the blue building ahead on the right. Normal hours have resumed. 

This month the Music & Rhyme sessions will continue to take place at the House of Books on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. The Lunch Bunch story hours, usually held on Thursdays, will be cancelled during February, but the Tween Advisory Board (TAB) will meet in the relocated library on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 3:30 p.m. Its Books Club will discuss “Double Identity” by Margaret Peterson Haddix. It is open to Grades 5 and older.

Also meeting at the relocated library is the Young Locals Game Night Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. The library is hosting a special series with games and refreshments for young locals 21 years of age and older. 

On Thursday, Feb. 26, there will be a Tax Filing Season Essentials program with CPA Katrina Luca. Topics to be discussed include the One Big Beautiful Tax Bill and the TCJA extensions; why ROTH conversions are especially attractive right now; new tax rules and 2025-26 IRS updates; IRS enforcement trends; tax planning for families, retirees and small businesses, and the 2026 filing season checklist.

The Relief from Grief group will meet Fridays, Feb. 13 and 27, at 4:30 p.m., and TAB is scheduled to have a movie night with “The Princess Bride” on Friday, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m., all at the library.
