KENT, Conn.– It’s no secret that Kent is a hidden gem when it comes to fine dining and shopping.

A panel of food experts have taken notice and acknowledged two Kent restaurants as standout favorites, among others in the state, as part of Connecticut Magazine’s top restaurants for 2025.

Ore Hill at 3 Maple St. was noted as a favorite in the new American category, while Fife ‘n Drum Restaurant at 53 Main St. was recognized as a favorite in the wine selection category.

Restaurants across the state were surveyed in numerous categories by the panel.

While the two Kent establishments were acknowledged as favorite places to patronize, the magazine is accepting the public’s nominations for their favorite restaurants and other businesses in the state.

Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 14. To make a nomination, go here and select the county in which the business is located.  

In other related restaurant news, Kent restaurants, as well as a few in the neighboring towns of Warren and Gaylordsville, are gearing up for the inaugural Kent Restaurant Week, which will run from Feb. 15-22.
