KENT—The Fire Marshal Hiring Subcommittee interviewed Tim Limbos Tuesday, June 18 for the position of fire marshal that was recently vacated by Stan MacMillan. 

After a short executive session and a discussion with Limbos about the job, the committee, consisting of First Selectman Marty Lindenmayer, Selectman Lynn Mellis Worthington, and Building Inspector Joseph Manley, voted to recommend him for employment to the selectmen. He will be paid $40 an hour for the part-time position.

The selectmen agreed Wednesday, June 26 to hire Limbos and he officially began work Monday, July 1.

Limbos also works for the Town of Ridgefield and has a rotating schedule. He is posting his office hours in Kent for each month on the Fire Marshal Department web page. His next office hours are Friday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.
