KENT, Conn.—The Kent Land Trust offers a chance to learn a new craft, cyanotype, Friday, July 31, at 1 p.m. in Town Hall when participants will use natural objects and the sun to decorate tote bags.
Cyanotype is a printing process that uses safe chemicals and the sun to transfer images of leaves or flowers to fabric or paper. Supplies will be provided but participants should bring any items they would like to cyanotype, such as dried flowers, leaves, lace and the like.
The program is limited to 20 participants and is for those 10 years of age or older. It is not a drop-off program. Registration is required to communicate weather-related changes.
