KENT, Conn.—Bunco returns to Kent Friday, Aug. 14, to help raise funds for “Back to School” supplies. The evening will be held at the Community House, 93 North Main St.

The doors open at 6 p.m. with games at 7 o’clock. A $20 donation includes snacks and prizes.

Bunco is played over six rounds. For each round, players try to roll the number of the current round. For example, in round one players try to roll ones. In round two, they try to roll twos and so on.

Each round begins with a bellringer ringing the bell. The scorekeeper gets to roll the dice first. They roll three dice and see how many dice they rolled that match the number of the current round.

Each dice rolled that matches the current round’s number scores one point. As long as the player scores points from a roll, he or she will roll the dice until they score zero points. Play then passes to the player on the left.
