KENT, Conn.–The Sherman Artists Association is again mounting a show “August Light” in the Kent Art Association Building, 21 S. Main St, Kent, Aug. 14 through Sept. 6.
Visual artists can submit up to four digital images of their artwork for the show. The deadline for submission is Sunday July 19, Both 2D and 3D artwork may be submitted and there is no cost to submit.
The fee for accepted artwork is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. There will be a 30 percent commission on sold work.
The opening reception is Friday, Aug.14, from 6 to 8 p.m. For an application and more information visit shermanartists.org.
Recognition awards will be given to the top artworks. The judges are Elizabeth McDonald and Hacer (Gerardo Gomez-Martinez).
Artists will be notified of acceptance on July 24t. July 31 payment is due for accepted works and delivery of artwork is Aug. 11 and 12, 1 to 5 p.m. at the Kent Art Association building.
Volunteers are needed to help receive the artwork, hang the show, support the opening reception and gallery sit. The show will be open Thursdays through Saturdays 1-5 p.m. and Sundays, noon to 4p.m.
