SHERMAN, Conn.—The Sherman Senior Center Friday Art Supplies Tag Sale will be held Memorial Day Weekend Saturday, May 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.Â
The event affords an opportunity for young and aspiring artists to get supplies.
The sale is a fundraiser for the Sherman Artists Association.
Donations of no-longer-needed art supplies in good condition may be made Friday, May 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center, 8 Connecticut Route 37,Â
Desired items include art supplies such as easels, stretched canvases, sketchbooks, paper such as colored or metallic or for photographs, artists’ portfolios, art books, a variety of paints (watercolor, acrylic, tempera, oil, or for fabric or porcelain), crayons, colored pencils, markers, drawing pencils, beads, and ribbons, frames and the like.
