KENT, Conn.—The Region 1 School District is planning an October series of in-person presentations in the district’s six member towns to present results from and get feedback about the organizational study currently underway.
Faced with a decades-long decline in enrollments, and a steady climb in expenses, the district launched the organizational study this fall to evaluate the K–8 school structure across the district’s towns to plan responsibly for future educational opportunities, student enrollment trends and operational efficiency.
Each forum will include two presentations: An overview of the whole region’s results and the responses from individual towns. There will be time for questions and answers.
The presentations will take place during each town’s Board of Education meeting.
