FALLS VILLAGE, Conn. — The Center on Main, 103 Main Street, has announced its new Monthly Meetup Series — free, casual gatherings around specific crafts.

People of all ages are encouraged to come work on their projects while connecting with other like-minded makers.
The program is starting with two offerings: mending and fly-tying.
The fly-tying meeting is for those curious about the craft and promises fresh ears for your best fishing tales while you learn tips and tricks from fellow fly-tyers. Drop in any time from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring your own equipment and materials.
Dates for this activity are Thursdays, May 14, June 4, and July 23.
Make & Mend Meetups are for visible menders, makers and mending-curious. Drink tea and get your mending done while gaining tips, tricks and inspiration from fellow hobby menders. Drop-in anytime from 6 to 8 p.m.
Bring your own project and materials. There will be a small selection of fabrics donated by John Robshaw for use as patches. It is hoped that more club tools and supplies in will be offered in the future.
The activities will be offered Thursdays, May 21, June 25 and July 30.
