SHERMAN, Conn.—The Sherman Artists Association has issued a call for artists to exhibit in Sherman ARTFEST 2026 from July 19 through 21 at Charter Hall and on the Town Green. 

Held in the heart of Sherman, the annual event transforms the Town Green and Charter Hall into a high-energy showcase of art and community. In past years, more than 30 artists have filled the space with paintings, photography, woodworking, pottery, jewelry, textiles, glass and more.

There is a flat entry fee with no commission taken on sales. The entry fee includes a space and event advertising. Artists are welcome to share a booth space if desired. All painters, photographers and three-dimensional artists are welcome to apply.

There will be an opening reception on Friday, June 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. and the show will be open Saturday and Sunday, June 20 and 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Artists are responsible for their own displays, set-up, selling their work and their own insurance.

Indoor space is approximately three-feet-by-nine-feet and there will be panels to display two-dimensional artwork. 

Artists are encouraged to bring their own tables (maximum six feet in length). Outdoor spaces are 10-feet-by-10-feet, and a tent is suggested. Work must be by the artist.

There is no cost to submit. Artists will be notified upon acceptance by May 15. Upon acceptance, the entry fee is $75 inside for members; $95 for nonmembers and $50 outside for members, $70 nonmember.

The fee is based on space. Members may share a space, but all participants must be juried. If artists share space, there is one payment to SAA. Payment is due by Saturday, May 30.
