KENT, Conn.—The Kent Chamber of Commerce will hold a meet and greet event celebrating nonprofit organizations May 1.
The program will run kick off at 6 p.m. at one of the town’s nonprofits, the Kent Art Association at 21 S. Main St., which is the event host.
Representatives of Kent nonprofits are invited to share what their organizations are doing and explore how groups can help one another.
“It’s a chance to support each other,” said Ellen Corsell, chamber vice president. “The town runs on nonprofits. There are 40 of them in a town of 3,000. That’s phenomenal.”
The president emphasized the importance of connections. She described how much “stronger” a community can be when organizations collaborate.
The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served, and the current KAA exhibit can be viewed.
